Read-Aloud Group: The Man Born to be King
In 1941, the BBC produced a series of 12 radio plays based on the life of Jesus, written by Dorothy Sayers, a notable writer and Christian intellectual in England, friends with C.S. Lewis, and of many of the Inklings, Lewis and Tolkien’s literary discussion group. Sayers believed that drama was one of the best ways to communicate and understand theology.
Come and participate in Sayers’ cycle of plays, reading aloud together the drama of Jesus’s ministry and journey towards the Cross.
No preparation necessary and no skill required—just a willingness to enter into this great Story together.
